Partner Institution Students' Library Guide: Getting started

Information about using Plymouth University's Library and online Library (Primo) for Partner Institution students

In addition to all the resources available via your college the University also provides a wealth of resources to support you in your studies.

To be successful ensure that you:

  • know how to log into the University of Plymouth portal (you will need your UoP log in details provided by your college)
  • set up forwarding for your UoP email
  • know how to search Primo (UoP library catalogue)

Primo: Accessing and Searching

Primo is our library search tool to help you find the best quality resources to support your learning, teaching and research. Use Primo to discover specialist databases, theses, books, journal articles and more – both print and digital – with a single search.

Access this one stop shop for information and resources you need. 
It includes information and tutorials about study skills, accessing resources and other useful information.

University of Plymouth IT account

All University correspondence will be send to your University of Plymouth student email so if you wish to use a different email then you need to set up a forwarding service

You also have access to Office 365 which provides you with:

  • 1 TB (Terabyte) OneDrive to store and share documents
  • Office online apps Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote
  • Office Pro Plus suite for installations on up to 5 devices
  • Online video based training from LinkedIn Learning
  • Free and discounted software
