Once you have set up your EndNote Online account you need to install a plug-in for your own computer so that when working within a Microsoft Word document you can use the 'Cite While You Write' (CWYW) function of EndNote.
This is the functionality that allows you to automatically cite references and create your bibliography as you write your document and to choose from a variety of referencing styles in which to format your work.
The CWYW plug-in will install an EndNote tab onto all your Word documents. This is the toolbar you will need to use to connect Word to your Endnote Online library.
When successfully installed, you will be asked to sign into your Endnote Online account when you click the 'Endnote' tab in Word for the first time in order to connect your Endnote Online library to your Word document.
