What is ChatGPT?

Generative AI -Generative Pre-trained Transformer,

Chat GPT  is a type of AI language model developed by OpenAI. GPT models are trained on large amounts of text data and can generate human-like responses to given prompts or questions. There  are increasing generative AI models aviailable, such as ChatGPT, Moonbeam, MidJourney or DALL-E as digital assistants both for your education and in your future workplace. As the number of embedded AI technologies increases within the software packages we commonly use, you're going to need to develop your awareness, digital skills and critical thinking to ensure that you approach these tools effectively and ethically, and without negatively impacting on the development of your own skills and knowledge.

Warning about personal info

  • ChatGPT uses large amounts of data to generate its responses. This raises concerns about data privacy and security. With the new voice and image capabilities this is a further data privacy concern.
  • Ensure you do not give away personal details and/or confidential information.
