Your Information Specialist can show you how to use information resources effectively. Information Specialists work in partnership with faculties, schools and programme teams to deliver information services in support of teaching, learning and research.
Each Information Specialist has responsibility for working with a group of subject areas and applies their knowledge and expertise in information management in a wide academic context – selecting and organising material for library collections (both physical and electronic), facilitating the use of information management tools, supporting the development of information literacy skills, and supporting the management of corporate information and University records. Information Specialists can also advice on publisher copyright policies, general copyright queries, options for publishing work in an Open format, bibliometrics and open data publishing.
