The library has access to a select number of British, European and International standards through our subscriber access to BSOL (British Standards Online).

Patents links on this page are freely available - the Library does not subscribe to any patent resources. A patent is a form of protection providing exclusive rights for manufacturing, using or selling a concept or invention and excludes others from doing so for the duration of the patent.
Construction Information Service
A comprehensive source of technical information for the construction industry, containing full text regulatory and advisory documents, including construction related British Standards, Eurocodes and building regulations. Choose 'Construction Information Service' from the menu of options.
British Standards Online
Access to a select number of British/European/International standards online. If a standard you require is not available via BSOL, please email Kate.
BSOL have implemented DRM requiring users to install a plug in to enable download of standards. Please see our guidance
Regs4Ships
Max 25 concurrent users at any one time.
Regs4Ships contains IMO regulations and other maritime regulatory documents that could be useful to marine engineers. (Note: Max 25 concurrent users).

Business & Industry resources
The Library subscribes to statistical data resources and market research and industry/company information products. The information contained within these resources provides a greater depth of analysis and insight than can be gleaned from Google alone. These products can be useful for Engineers looking for global energy statistics; market share and value of electric vehicle companies; information on renewables plus a host of other industry intelligence in the UK and globally. You can also use some of these tools for scoping future employers.
