Disability Support in the Library

The library has a range of additional services, equipment and support to help if you have a disability.

Disability can mean different things to different people.  It may include you if you have study support requirements related to a disability.

You may have already received advice or support from the DSA; this may not always align to our general advice or support.  If you are concerned about this please contact the Information Specialists on the email below.

Along with the services detailed in this guide, we can provide individual advice on how to use the library and signpost further support. To discuss your needs and receive help with accessing the library resources, email the Information Specialists at informationspecialists@plymouth.ac.uk to book an appointment.

If you have any questions about any of our services please contact us:

SensusAccess

SensusAccess allows you to automatically convert documents into a range of alternate media including audio books (MP3 and DAISY), e-books (EPUB, EPUB3 and Mobi) and digital Braille.

The service can also be used to convert inaccessible documents such as image-only PDF files, JPG pictures and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations into more accessible and less tricky formats.

Alternative formats come straight to your inbox.
