Bales Buddies - Therapy dogs

Students have benefitted from group sessions with:

  • Arthur who is excellent at agility, loves to play and show off, doing tricks and treat boards.
  • 1 to 1 sessions with Grace, who is an emotional support dog who does deep pressure therapy, cuddles and grooming.

In May 2024, Arthur and Grace made it on to the local BBC website and evening news:

Fidget Devices

On Floor 1, in the Wellbeing and Fiction area you will find a selection of fidget devices for your use.

Help relieve stress, anxiety and fidgety fingers by playing, squeezing, stretching and flipping with these fidgety devices. All of these toys can help relieve and soothe stress, boredom or simply pass time.

Please return after use.

Fruit for Wellbeing

During the assessment period, FREE fruit is available to students that are in the library over night (from 18:00 until 08:00). Please knock on the door (which door)? and speak to a member of staff.

Library Buddy service

If you are concerned about entering or navigating the library, we can arrange for a library buddy to meet you outside and come in with you. We can give you a quick (about 10 minute) introduction to the library and its resources.

Come on your own, or with a friend or with a small group of colleagues.

To arrange a buddy you can  email libraryanditenquiries@plymouth.ac.uk or call on (01752) 588588 - Choose the student option.
