There are many Open Access sources of peer reviewed journal literature and monograph content available. This guide highlights some of the places to look and tools to use to bring full text .pdf content to your desktop.

Library building access

Information on limited free visitor access to the Library building.  Alumni and members of the public can also join the Library as an Associate Member to gain additional visitor access (discount for Alumni).  Find out more about the Library visitor membership scheme.

PEARL

PEARL: University of Plymouth's Open Access repository

PEARL is the university's Open Access repository which contains Accepted Manuscripts of published research articles and chapters.  There are also datasets, PhD theses and articles published by students all available to access free of charge.  PEARL also hosts a number of journals which are published by the University as well as the proceedings of any locally held conferences.  Browse the collections to see what is available.
