Adding a journal article

If an item (a book, journal or journal article etc.) is available through Primo, you should use this method of adding resources to ensure that your students are correctly authenticated when accessing the item through your list.

1. Click on the Image of "Add" button. button at the top of the list and select New item > Search the library.

2. This will open a new window. The search box defaults to Books, journal titles, etc.  Change this on the drop-down menu to Articles. Type in the article details and do your search.

3. From the list of results you can either:

  • Drag and drop the item directly into the list by hovering over your required item and using the drag icon

OR

  • Click the Image of "+" button. button and choose the section to which you wish to add it (see below). Then click Add & Edit or Add. This can sometimes be an easier option if you have a list with a lot of sections.

4. You will see the newly selected item on your list. Continue if you wish to add more. Once you have finished adding items, click the X to close the search window.
