What is Leganto?

Leganto is the University of Plymouth's reading list management system. It provides an efficient and easy way to compile and publish reading lists. Fully integrated with Primo and Moodle, it provides students with easy access to all course materials through a single interface.

With Leganto, you can assemble materials of all types; physical & e-books, online or digitised book chapters, scholarly articles, videos, images, electronic resources and any other type of material, to create a flexible and interactive reading list.

  • Easy to use - structured, annotated reading lists that are easy to share and maintain
  • Identification of Library Holdings - automatic identification of resources that the library owns or is already subscribed to
  • Analytics-driven - analytics and reports provide an overview of the materials students use and their usage patterns
  • Interactive - Interface for students to share feedback and suggest items to instructors
  • Integrated - Integration with learning management systems such as Primo and UNIT-e

Access to Leganto

Existing reading lists are accessible from the reading list block on the DLE module page. Once you reach the reading list you may need to log in if it shows Guest in the top right corner. To do this, click Guest, select Login from the dropdown and use your University username and password.

You can also access reading lists via this link readinglists.plymouth.ac.uk . This link should be used if you wish to create a list. Make sure you log in as described above.

If you find that, once logged in, you do not have editing permissions, contact your Information Specialist direct or via informationspecialists@plymouth.ac.uk .
