Account authentication (MFA)

You must set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) to protect your account

When you first sign into your account, you will see the following screen

Click on Next

You must register two methods to authenticate. We recommend registering the app first and then a mobile phone number. Instructions can be found here:

If you do not have a smart phone and cannot download the authenticator app, you can use a browser extension such as Chrome authenticator

Make changes

If you want to make changes or check the methods you have set up

  • Go to office.com
  • Sign in with your University of Plymouth email and password
  • In the top right-hand corner click on 'View account' and 'Security Info'.
