If you know your old password but want to change it:

Log in to the University Portal and select the Student Life tile.

Select Personal details

Under student click 'Change password'

Add your old password into the appropriate box and your new password into the boxes below.

Make sure: you choose a strong password for better account security. That it has a minimum length of 12 characters and has one or more:

User account passwords shall:

• be at least 12 characters in length
• be unique for each account and not knowingly used elsewhere
• not use a pattern that is standardised or guessable
• consider password history and not knowingly re-use passwords
• require a minimum password age of 1 day (i.e. not be changed more than once a day)
• be changed on initial account access by the user
• be changed if any suspected or actual breach of password occurs
• be obscured on any access point that displays them, typically marked with an asterisk
• be kept secure if stored or transmitted, by using modern hashing algorithms or encryption
• be known and used only by the user to whom it is assigned
